New Indian envoy to US presents credentials to Trump

Taranjit Singh Sandhu, India’s new Ambassador to the US, has presented his credentials to American President Donald Trump at a special ceremony held in the White House, it was reported. The ceremony took place in the Oval Office  . The envoy was accompanied by his wife and peer Reenat Sandhu, currently serving as the Indian Ambassador to Italy, the American Bazaar news said.

US wants to help India deal with CAA fallout: Official

2 US soldiers killed in S. Afghanistan’s explosion

Indo-US military training exercise ends

United States military forces from the 1st Battalion of 1st Special Forces Group (Airborne) have completed an extensive military training exercise with the Indian National Security Guard (INSG) in Hyderabad. US Consul General Katherine Hadda addressed the soldiers on Friday at the closing ceremony. The month-long exercise prepared U.S and Indian soldiers for a wide range of challenging scenarios.

US officials prepare to question journalists helping migrants

As part of a “national security investigation’’ the US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has formed a database, comprising details on 59 journalists, lawyers and activists, who have supported migrants, for questioning them at US-Mexican border checkpoints. Hillary speaks not running for 2020 presidency


US Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on Monday declared,  “I’m not running” in the 2020 presidential election, defying rumours that she might go for a 2016 rematch against President Donald Trump. “I’m not running, but I’m going to keep working and speaking and standing up for what I believe,” she said in an interview with New York-based cable news network News 12. “I’m not going anywhere.”

US keeping close watch on F-16 use by Pak

The US has said that Washington is taking a close look at the reports of Pakistan having violated the end-user agreement on F-16.  “We’ve seen those reports and we are following that issue very closely,” US State Department Deputy spokesperson Robert Palladino said amid Indian officials suggesting that a dossier on Pakistan’s misadventure on February 27 abusing F-16 jet fighter have been provided with the United States.
