COVID-19: 10,000 people in B’luru stamped in 2 days

City civic body, police and health officials stamped about 10,000 people on home quarantine in Bengaluru in the last two days, amid rising Coronavirus positive cases, a top official said on Tuesday. “BBMP and Bengaluru police completed stamping of 10,000 people on home quarantine by deploying 600 teams in the last two days,” tweeted the civic body commissioner B.H. Anil Kumar.

Bengaluru police has opened an account on short video-making platform TikTok to reach out to the people in an engaging and entertaining manner, an official said  . “Bangalore Police has always believed in the power of social media to build a connect with citizens. 44% people describe Budget as pro-poor: IANS-Cvoter poll

With Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presenting the Union Budget 2020-21, around 44.7 per cent respondents in an IANS-Cvoter survey feel that the Budget was pro-poor to a large extent.

Around 32.9 per cent of the people surveyed described the Budget as “little bit” tilted towards the financially weaker section and 17.1 per cent think that it is not at all pro-poor. Remaining 5.3 per cent reticent.
