Key NASA science, cargo head to space station

A Northrop Grumman rocket carrying the Cygnus resupply spacecraft has been successfully launched from NASA’s Wallops Flight Facility in Virginia in the US. The spacecraft, launched on Saturday, is on its way to the International Space Station (ISS) with about 7,500 pounds of science investigations and cargo after launching at 3:21 p.m. EST, according to NASA.

ଆମେରକିୀୟ ମହାକାଶ ବିଜ୍ଞାନ ସଂସ୍ଥାନ ନାସା ପକ୍ଷରୁ ସୋମବାର ବିକ୍ରମ ଲ୍ୟାଣ୍ଡରର ଫଟୋ ଜାରି କରାଯାଇଛି । ନାସାର ଏଲ୍‌ଆର୍‌ଓସି କ୍ୟାମେରାରେ ଏହି ଫଟୋ ଉତ୍ତୋଳନ କରାଯାଇଛି । ଏହି ଫଟୋରେ ବିକ୍ରମର ଲ୍ୟାଣ୍ଡିଂ ସ୍ଥାନ ଏବଂ ଭଗ୍ନାବଶେଷ ଦେଖିବାକୁ ମିଳିଛି । ସନମୁଗ ସୁବ୍ରମଣ୍ୟନ୍‌ଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରଥମେ ଏହି ଫଟୋ ପାଇବା ପରେ ନାସାର ଏଲଆରଓସି ବିଭାଗ ସହିତ ସମ୍ପର୍କ ସ୍ଥାପନ କରିଥିଲେ । ଅକ୍ଟୋବର 14,15 ଏବଂ ନଭେମ୍ବର 11 ତାରିଖରେ ଉତ୍ତୋଳିତ ଫଟୋର ତର୍ଜମା କରି ନାସା ଏହି ନିଷ୍କର୍ସରେ ପହଞ୍ଚିଥିଲା ।

NASA finds Vikram moon lander’s debris

NASA has found the crash site and debris of India’s Chandrayaan-2 Vikram moon lander following a tip from an Indian space enthusiast who examined pictures of the area of the moon taken by a US orbiting camera.The site was located by Shanmuga Subramanian, who on his own scoured the pictures taken by the LROC NASA and Arizona State University announced on Monday confirming the find.

NASA’s InSight lander hits snag in heat measurement

The thermal probe of NASA’s InSight lander has hit snag and paused digging, according to the mission team on Tuesday. The heat probe, known as the Heat Flow and Physical Properties Probe (HP3), is designed to dig up to five meters below the Martian surface and measure the heat coming from inside the Red Planet. It was set onto the planet’s dusty surface on Feb. 12.
