Four unidentified terrorists were killed in a shootout with security forces on Sunday morning in Jammu and Kashmir’s Anantnag district, a CRPF official said. A day after the J&K administration lifted a ban on social media, the broadband internet services were restored in Kashmir on Thursday. After seven months, J&K residents are accessing social media websites on mobile and broadband connections. A government order had no mention of whitelisting of websites as per the new government order issued on Wednesday. The order is applicable till March 17.

Two militants were killed by security forces in an encounter which ensued during a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) in south Kashmir district of Shopian on Saturday, official sources said. Security forces on Wednesday arrested three youths in south Kashmir in connection with the Banihal blast case. Official sources said that following specific information, three youth were arrested from a village in south Kashmir district of Shopian.
