One cr consumers may lose LPG

It may come as a set-back to about one crore LPG consumers across the country if they lose their connection from Bharatgas, Indane or HP in case they have  not done their KYC (know your customer) by  December 01. Reports say that the central government has instructed all the above agencies to complete the KYC by the end of November. This would apply to consumers who enjoy no subsidy also.

Tata manager shot dead by ex-employee

An ex-employee of the Tatas Vishwas Panday has shot dead a manager in the company by spraying bullets point blank. Arindam Pal , a senior manager at the stockyard of Tata Steel was in his cabin when the accused entered the cabin and shot him dead . Vishwas was in fact sacked from the company for indiscipline earlier and is now absconding.

Post Diwali relief in fuel prices

Just days after the Diwali the Oil Marketing Companies (OMC) brought little respite for the consumers by slashing the fuel prices in India. Going by the latest input from the OMCs  petrol prices have been reduced by 17 paise whereas the prices of diesel was cut down by 16 paise in the national capital. According to reports from Reuters there is a slash in International Oil prices by about $15 in one month.

LPG hiked, twice in this month

Increase in the commission given by the ministry to the dealers has weighed heavy on the consumers as the LPG prices have been increased by Rs.2 per cylinder which is the second time hike this month. Calling it as an interim measure the Oil Ministry has said that considering the increase in transportation costs and wages, it has been felt necessary to increase the distributors’ commission .

Man killed for defecating in open !:

Awareness is fine but it should not be stretched to a level as it happened in Jharkhand’s Palamu district. A 45 year old man was simply strangled to death by his neighbor who did not tolerate his act. After the defecation both had an altercation which led to strangulation of the victim Mangar Ram and the neighbor Chhotu Kumar.

‘Kumki’ elephant killed man

The Kumki elephant , Yashodha, who was utilised by the forest department during the operation for tranquilizing the tigress Sundari in Satkosia, killed a man . The shocking incident took place while the man , Sudura Pradhan was giving her some thing to eat near Purunakot Range premises when Yashodha accidentally held Pradhan with her trunk while Yashodha was holding a banana tree in which the man got entangled  and died due to the pull of the trunk of elephant.

Damodar signals at new party

The expelled BJD leader Damodar Rout today announced that very soon a new political party shall be launched in Odisha. And he also gave a time frame that the party would take shape and reiterated that the party will be formed on the ideals of late Biju Patnaik. Bihar government dismisses 175 constables, suspends 23 for rampage
